Familiar Faces Digital Photo Books were created by Sara Hardwicke-Brown, but inspired by her first daughter. Sara noticed that her daughter became very familiar with the face of someone who showed up at the end of her favourite video yet seemed very unfamiliar with her own extended family. One time while watching her daughter smile and coo at the person on screen she exclaimed, “If only that was my mom on TV everyday!”, and the idea was born. She combined her skills in digital imagery and graphic design along with much research and trial on what is interesting and enriching for babies, and created the first Digital Book on her home computer.

From the beginning, the goal has always been focused on family as the most important thing in a child's life. We believe that the best scenario is for the baby to spend a lot of time with their family, but we have families too and realize that this can't always happen. Perhaps grandparents live in another town, Mom and/or Dad have to work everyday, and with everyone's busy schedule getting together with uncles, aunts and cousins doesn't happen as often as you'd like.
As the video plays, use the flash cards included and talk to your baby about who each person is, what's special about them and tell baby how much they are loved by each special person.
This is more than a children's video, its personal and it promotes the importance and love of family.
